Drawing for a Calvert Homeschooling Reading Assignment
For Calvert homeschooling, I have been reading a book called Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.
As a part of the reading lesson, I drew a drawing about a scene from the story.
For those who have never read the story, I wrote a story summary myself:
The Story Summary for Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
Mrs. Frisby is a widowed mouse living on Farmer Fitzgibbon's farm with four little kids. She soon discovers plowing day is to come soon, and she needs to move to the Summer House immediately. However, her frailest child, Timothy, catches pneumonia just before they are going to move. Mrs. Frisby summons a wise owl in a forest, who, luckily, tells her to go to the Rats of NIMH for advice. Can they help her, or not?
Here there is Mrs. Frisby, a mouse, who is riding on a crow's back, over a farm to a owl for an advice.
Mom said that she likes the details on the woods. I like how the mouse's face is peeking out between the crow's wings.
Thank you for reading my blog, and please come back soon!
